Dame Sue Ion at Nuclear AMRC: Friday 1st July

The Nuclear AMRC in Rotherham will be welcoming one of the UK's leading science and engineering advisors on Friday 1 July: Dr Dame Sue Ion DBE FRS FREng.

Dame Sue is a former group director of technology at British Nuclear Fuels Ltd, former member of the UK Council for Science and Technology, chair of the UK's Nuclear Innovation Research Advisory Board, and the Royal Academy of Engineering's representative to the government's Energy Research Partnership. She will give an exclusive talk about her career, focussing on her experiences of gender balance in engineering, and why the engineering industries need a broad and diverse workforce to thrive.

We are organising transport for people travelling from the main uni at 8:45 (Arts Tower) to the Nuclear AMRC and then a return journey leaving Nuclear AMRC at 13:00. It's free and lunch will be provided. All are welcome to attend.

The talk will take place in the Knowledge Transfer Centre (building opposite the Nuclear AMRC).
